GOND & BHIL PAINTINGS

Fouram theatre workshop The Forum Theatre workshop, led by the eminent Sanjoy Ganguly, pioneer of Theatre of the Oppressed, proved to be a transformative experience for the Khel Tamasha team. Fourm Theatre is the vibrant stage where the curtains of change rise, not just for applause but for a purpose. In this unique blend of drama and dialogue, the spotlight isn't just on the actors; it beckons the audience to step into the scene. Here, the script is a canvas, and the actors are catalysts for transformation. Forum Theatre isn't just a performance; it's a dialogue, an invitation, a celebration of collective creativity. It's a mirror reflecting society's struggles and a window opening to solutions. It's the stage where everyone has a role to play, and where the spotlight belongs to all, for the betterment of all. Our journey through this Forum Theatre workshop was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving us with a profound sense of enrichment and a newfound perspective on the power of collective action in the realm of theatre.

DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING

The September 2022 Documentary Film Workshop was an immersive learning experience for our team. Mentors Sudip Mitra and Ankush Gupta along with our director Rajneesh Bisht, provided invaluable insights into every aspect of documentary filmmaking. Sudip Sir expertly explained key technical concepts like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, tailoring his teachings to our specific needs. We were also exposed to a diverse range of films, helping us grasp various frames, angles, and shot techniques. Hands-on experimentation with different cameras and lenses was particularly illuminating. Ankush Sir's sessions on aesthetics were truly eye-opening. They highlighted how every element in a film, from a simple walk to the movement of objects, serves a purpose aligned with the movie's theme. When we delved into creating our own film during the workshop, we gained a profound appreciation for the immense effort involved in filmmaking. Rajnish Sir's insights into scripting added another layer to our learning.

NON VIOLENT COMMUNICATION

Under the expert guidance of facilitator Mrs. Sudha Shankar, who is a certified trainer and her expert team, this journey has been both enlightening and transformative. For a year, we've dedicated our Saturdays to the Nonviolence Communication journey. As theater enthusiasts, we've always been keen observers of human behavior, but this experience has led us to examine our own actions and uncover our hidden needs. This process has been a captivating blend of interactive games, thought-provoking questions, and heartfelt discussions. It's a voyage that's opened our eyes to the distinction between mere reactions and thoughtful responses. We've learned the art of empathy, not just towards others but also in validating our own emotions. This journey has been a revelation, leading us to greater self-awareness and a deeper commitment to self-care. The Nonviolence Communication workshop has been an enriching and transformative experience for us all.
